Chandipur located on the east coast of India has a peculiar tropical climate with hot and sundry winters and cold winter season. The summer months running between March and July are hot and sticky with maximum temperatures rising as high as 45 degrees Celsius. The monsoon season running from July to September beings adequate relief from the harsh summer but rains are erratic and can become torrential in between.  The winter season running from October to February is more pleasant and moderate but mercy can dip to as low as 4 degrees Celsius in the months of December making it a little too cold for comfort.

Chandipur is well connected by road and is located on the National Highway 5 at a distance of 16 kms away from Balasore and 214 Kms from Bhubaneswar city. Regular bus and cabs services are available to reach Chandipur from all major cities of India including Kolkata which is at a distance of 300 Kms from Chandipur. Orissa state transport corporation also runs various regular and deluxe bus services for tourists visiting Chandipur.

By Air:

Chandipur does not have a dedicated airport facility and the nearest airport is located in Bhubaneswar at a distance of 230 Kms. The international airport located in Kolkata is the nearest International airport located at a distance of 314 KMs. Both the Kolkata and Bhubaneswar airports are well connected with major Indian cities having a regular flight services from major India cities on a daily basis. Bus and cab services are available at Kolkata and Bhubaneswar to visit Chandipur.

By Rail:

Chandipur does not have a dedicated functional railway station and the nearest Railway station is at Balasore. The Balasore railway station located on the Kolkata-Chennai mainline at distance of 16 Kms from Chandipur city center is well connected by all major cities and towns offering regular train services.
