Mirik experiences a moderate and pleasant climate all through the year. Due to its geographic location, the town has moderate summers. The summer season between March and May is sunny but pleasant with maximum temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius. The monsoon months between July and October brings adequate rainfall to Mirik. The rainy can sometimes be too heavy for comfort and most tourists prefer to avoid the heavy rainy season. The winter months between November and February are cold and foggy with minimum temperatures reaching 1 degree Celsius. The best time to visit Mirik is between March and September.

How To Reach

By Road:

Reaching Mirik by Road is by far the most preferred mode of communication. Mirik is located on the main Darjeeling- New Jalpaiguri highway and is connected with good motor able roads. Cabs and buses are freely available at Darjeeling (59 Kms), Bagdogra (51 Kms) and Siliguri (49 Kms) to reach Mirik.

By Air:

Mirik does not have a dedicated airport facility and the closest airport is the one located in Bagdogra at a distance of 51 Kms. The Bagdogra airport is well connected to most Indian cities with regular flights from Guwahati, Kolkata and New Delhi. Local cabs and buses are easily available outside the Bagdogra airport to reach Mirik.

By Rail:

Mirik does not have a dedicated railway station facility and the closest railway station is the one located in Siliguri at a distance of 49 Kms. Siliguri railway station is well connected to all major Indian cities and towns including Guwahati and Kolkata with regular train services. Local cabs are easily available outside the Siliguri railway station to reach Mirik.
