Murud Janjira being a coastal can be visited anytime of the year. The summer season from March to July is most suitable for outings and sightseeing with temperatures reaching a maximum of 36 °C. The monsoon season from August to October brings heavy rainfall and travelling through sea is not available. While monsoon season brings photographic opportunities, most tourists wait for the rains to recede. The onset of winters from November to February is the best season to visit Murud Janjira with maximum temperatures in the range of 14 to 15 °C.

By Road:

Reach Murud Janjira by road is a very convenient option as the city is well connected to all major parts of Maharashtra and Konkan. Driving from Mumbai to Murud Janjira is a distance of 142 Kms on the Mumbai-Wadkhal highway. Murud Janjira is located at a distance of 172 Kms from Pune and regular cab services are available at all times.

By Air:

Murud Janjira is a sleepy coastal town and does not have any airport facility. The nearest airport is of Mumbai located at a distance of 142 kms from Murud Janjira.  Regular cab and bus services are available from Mumbai airport to reach Murud Janjira.

By Rail:

Reaching Murud Janjira by rail is not an ideal scenario as the coastal town does not have a dedicated railway station. The nearest railway station is the one located in Roha at a distance of 38 Km. Roha is well connected from neighboring cities of Mumbai and Pune making it a perfect transit point to visit Murud Janjira. Cabs and Buses are easily available outside Roha railway station to reach Murud Janjira.
