Naukuchiatal experiences typical sub tropical climatic conditions making it pleasant in summers and cold in winter months. Regular cab and bus services ply between major nearby cities including Nainital (41 Km), New Delhi (317 Kms) and Almora (58 Kms).

By Air:

Naukuchiatal does not have a dedicated airport facility and the closest airport is the one located in Pantnagar at a distance of 74 Kms. Pantnagar airport is well connected to the national capital of New Delhi and Dehradun with regular daily flights. Local cabs and buses are freely available outside the Pantnagar airport to reach Naukuchiatal.

By Rail:

Naukuchiatal does not have a railway station due to its location in the hilly terrain. The nearest railway station is the one located in Kathgodam at a distance of 44 Kms from Naukuchiatal city center. Kathgodam railway station is known as the gateway of the Kumaon region and connects the region with all major parts of India on a regular basis. Regular train services from New Delhi reach Kathgodam offering an easy transit point for the tourists. The railway station has a good number of taxi and buses available for travelers to reach Naukuchiatal.
