Ranchi experiences typical sub tropical climatic conditions with warn summers and humid monsoon season. The summer months ranging between March and July are warm and sticky with maximum temperatures rising as high as 45 degrees Celsius. Ranchi is located at a distance of 1303 Kms from the national capital New Delhi. Kolkata is located at a distance of 434 Kms while Nagpur is 844 Kms away from Ranchi city.

By Air:

The Ranchi domestic airport located at a distance of 7 Kms from Ranchi city center connects the city to all major Indian cities and towns. Taxis and Buses are easily available outside the Ranchi airport to reach the city center. Ranchi airport has daily flights connecting it to Delhi, Kolkata, Indore and Bhopal.

By Rail:

Ranchi has a dedicated railway station with good connectivity from all major towns of Jharkhand, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Ranchi railway station is one of the most important junctions under the Jharkhand railway division. Ranchi station is well connected to New Delhi, Bhillai and Mumbai with regular train services. Local cabs and buses are available outside the Ranchi railway station to visit various attractions across the city.
