Vagamon enjoys a cool and pleasant weather all through the year which makes it an ideal tourist destination round the year. Summers (March to May) are gentle with the temperature ranging from 20°C -30°C. This makes it a famous summer get away for Keralites as well as tourists who visit Kerala during summer. Monsoon here is between June and September. By Road:

Vagamon can be reached by road via Kochi and Kottayam-Kumily Road that leads to Thekkady. Kochi is 107 km driveway from here and it takes roughly 2 hours and 30 minutes by car. Erattupetta is the nearest town, 25 km far off from Vagamon. 

By Air:

Vagamon is located at 120 km distance from Cochin International Airport, 267 km Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, and 210 km away from Madurai. From all these places tourist can avail cab service to reach at Vagamon. All these airports are well connected with all major Indian cities and abroad.

By Rail:

The nearest railway station to Vagamon is Kottayam which is 62 kms from here. Tourists can hire a cab from Kottayam which takes about 1.5 hours drive to reach Vagamon.
