Ngedon Chokhor Ling Monastery is one of the most famous Buddhist religious centers in Mirik region. Specializing in the Shakyamuni Buddhist traditions, the Ngedon Chokhor Ling Monastery houses more than 500 Buddhist monks engrossed in learning the sacred texts and principles of Buddhism in its undiluted true form. The Ngedon Chokhor Ling Monastery is controlled by Kyabje Bokar Khenchen Donyo Rinpoche and is considered to be one of the prime learning centers of Buddhism in India.
