Majhkhali:

Located at a distance of 10 Kms from Ranikhet city center, Chaubatia gardens offer a magnificent view of the surrounding snow capped mountain peaks and valleys. Binsar Mahadev:

Binsar Mahadev temple is one of the most significant religious shrines in Ranikhet region. Located at a distance of 15 Kms from Ranikhet city center, Binsar Mahadev temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Bhalu Dam:

Katarmal Sun Temple:

The sun temple of Ranikhet also known as the Katarmal Sun temple or Katarmal temple is one of the most significant religious shrines of the region. Located at a distance of 25 Kms from Ranikhet city center, Katarmal Sun temple is over 800 year old. Dedicated to the Sun god, the temple is considered to be second only to the ancient Sun temple of Konark in Orissa. Maintained by the archaeological survey of India, the Sun temple is an epitome of exquisite stone carvings. Jhoola Devi Temple:

Jhoola Devi Temple dedicated to Goddess Durga is one of the most ancient shrines of Ranikhet region. Built in the early 8th century, the Jhoola Devi Temple is located at a distance of 7 Kms from Ranikhet city center. The temple attracts a large number of pilgrims and devotees from all over India. It is believed that the Jhoola Devi Temple blesses the devotees by fulfilling their wishes. A cluster of holy bells located on the temple walls are believed to be the signification of granting wishes. A small temple dedicated to Lord Ram is also located adjoining the Jhoola Devi Temple.

 

Haidakhan Temple:

Haidakhan Temple located at a distance of 4 Kms from Ranikhet city center is one of the most well known religious shrines of the region. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Haidakhan Temple is believed to have been built by Shri Haidakhan Maharaj, considered to be a human incarnation of Lord Shiva. Haidakhan Temple attracts a large number of devotees from all over Ranikhet.

 

Sitalkhet:

Sitalkhet also known as Sheetalkhet is one of the most picturesque locations attracting a large number of tourists and nature lovers. Located at a distance of 25 Kms from Ranikhet city center on the Ranikhet-Almora national highway, Sitalhet is a famous picnic hangouts amid orchards and lovely scenic locations.
